QRM canceller is inserted from the into the feed line of the antenna without any other modifications to the radio. The box has built-in PTT controls, allowing the eliminator to stay connected during transfer. However, an additional auxiliary receiving antenna is required, such as a 2m antenna or just a few meters of wire in the shed. The two antennas pick up unwanted signals, causing them to be out of phase. The QRM canceller now allows adjustment of the phase angle as well as amplification to cancel unwanted signals before they reach the receiver front end.
Features:
Effective Local QRM Elimination: Utilizing advanced orthogonal phase coherence principles, this QRM eliminator effectively cancels out local electronic noise such as elevator controllers, high voltage arc discharges, and power supply interference, even when the noise reaches up to S9 levels. By precisely adjusting the phase of the auxiliary and main antenna signals, the device significantly reduces unwanted noise, ensuring a clearer reception.
Wide Frequency Range Support: Operating efficiently across a broad range from 1.8 MHz to 30 MHz, the QRM eliminator is versatile enough for various HF (High Frequency) applications. Whether you're dealing with local QRM during shortwave listening or HF amateur radio operations, this device offers robust performance and signal clarity.
Simple Integration and Setup: The unit features three BNC connectors for easy integration with your existing antenna setup. Simply connect your main antenna, auxiliary antenna, and transceiver or receiver to the clearly labeled 'Main,' 'AUX,' and 'TRX' ports. Additionally, an RCA PTT port ensures the device can handle transmission needs without needing manual adjustments.
User-Friendly Controls: Equipped with intuitive Gain and Phase adjustment knobs, the QRM eliminator allows for delicate tuning to achieve optimal noise cancellation. The setup process is straightforward: balance the noise levels on both antennas using Gain1, then fine-tune with Phase and Gain2 to achieve the lowest noise level. The GAIN1 adjustment ensures the auxiliary antenna primarily picks up the noise, making the noise-cancellation process more effective.
Flexible Auxiliary Antenna Options: The device allows the use of various auxiliary antennas to pick up noise signals, from HF antennas to simple wires placed near noise sources. This flexibility ensures you can adapt the setup for the best performance, regardless of the specific noise environment. The auxiliary antenna should be short to focus on picking up local noise rather than desired distant signals for effective noise elimination.
